Artist Statement:

My interest in environmental work stems from my Pagan upbringing which instilled a deep respect for and close connection to nature. After minoring in environmental studies, this personal interest has developed into a passion for environmental activism. As a creator, I am particularly interested in material use, and often work with concepts criticizing our consumerist culture's waste. I am also passionate about native species conservation. Using the skills I have attained in my art practice, I try to raise awareness about these issues and create art with responsible material use. I mostly work in recycled material sculpture l and use Pagan imagery and mythology in my work.
